Cubs' road trip to highlight '70s, 'Anchorman'

Continuing what is now a couture tradition within the Cubs' clubhouse, manager Joe Maddon and the players will wear 1970s fashions and pay homage to the Will Ferrell flick "Anchorman" on the team's road trip to California.

Maddon thinks Tommy La Stella would make a good Brick Tamland, the weather man in the Anchorman movies: "They're like two interchangeable guys. I see Brick, I see Tommy. I see Tommy, I see Brick. Put some glasses on Tommy, some sideburns, I got Brick."

With Ben Zobrist and Kyle Schwarber getting the day off Javy Baez will lead off for the first time this season. Albert Almora Jr will bat second for the second time this week while Miguel Montero catches for Kyle Hendricks.

Kyle Schwarber's home run -- which left Wrigley Field and landed on Sheffield Avenue -- paced the league by 10 feet on Tuesday. Bryce Harper landed comfortably in second, followed by Michael Conforto, Kendrys Morales and Charlie Blackmon.
