When was the last time two players from Idaho made the ESPN 300? Before today, the answer was never. Defensive tackle Tommy Togiai of Pocatello Highland and Washington quarterback commit Colson Yankoff became the first duo from Idaho to crack the top 300 ranking. Togiai, who lists Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, TCU, USC and Washington as his top teams, is the No. 52 player overall. Yankoff, who committed to UDub in March, is the 82nd ranked player.

There are currently 25 total ESPN 300 commitments in the Big Ten, all coming from Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska and Maryland. Penn State has the most with eight ESPN 300 commitments followed by Ohio State with seven, Michigan with five, Nebraska holding four and Maryland with one.

The Big Ten has 25 ESPN 300 commitments from 13 different states in the 2018 class. The most commitments in the conference, surprisingly, come from Georgia, with five commitments hailing from the Peach State. There are only 15 ESPN 300 Georgia prospects committed, so the Big Ten holds 33 percent of the commitments in the state, including two of the top five prospects. Pennsylvania is represented with four commitments, Florida and California with three and Virginia with two. The conference has been very successful recently with casting a wide geographic net in recruiting and it shows by these numbers.

Ohio State has five commitments ranked in the top 150 of the 2018 ESPN 300 rankings. Over the past three recruiting classes, including 2018, the Buckeyes have had 26 commitments ranked within the top 150 in their class. The next closest in the conference over the same period of time is Michigan with 17 commitments ranked in the top 150, followed by Penn State with 13
