The Los Angeles Lakers announced that Miles Simon will join their staff as an assistant coach. Like Lakers head coach Luke Walton, Simon is an Arizona alumnus and famously led the Wildcats to a national championship in 1997. After a brief NBA career, he went on to spend a number of years in coaching and player development roles, as well as working as a college basketball analyst for ESPN.

Next year's NBA draft stars: DeAndre Ayton

Arizona's Lauri Markkanen heard his name called early in Thursday night's draft. Incoming freshman DeAndre Ayton is likely to follow in his footsteps next year.
