The Fernando Rodney Experience has never been an easy ride for those without strong stomachs, but Diamondbacks fans may not have to suffer through many more after the Padres scored five runs off him in the ninth, including Ryan Schimpf's go-ahead three-run homer. With an 11.00 ERA, Rodney should be replaced as closer.

ESPN Stats and Information

Travis Shaw's career-long 465-foot blast Thursday ties Kris Bryant for the farthest homer hit this season. Wil Myers' 439-foot shot was his second-longest at Petco, while Ryan Zimmerman's 431-footer was his longest since August 2015. Matt Carpenter and Neil Walker round out the list.

On huge night for the Braves' best veteran hitter, it was a newbie who got the game winner. And it was much needed. Dansby Swanson's walk off single gave the Atlanta Braves a 5-4 win over the San Diego Padres Monday. It was a much-needed boost for the struggling rookie as the Braves improved to 4-0 at SunTrust Park. But it was Freddie Freeman who kept Atlanta in striking distance. Freeman went 4 for 4 with two doubles and two homers.

Bradford Doolittle ESPN Staff Writer

The Braves' Freddie Freeman went deep last inning for his first homer at SunTrust Park and fourth of the season -- in 12 games. According to ESPN Stats & Info, Freeman didn't hit his fourth homer last season until his 28th game, on May 7. He went on to hit a career-high 34 homers. With that short porch in right at STP, Freeman could definitely challenge that mark this time around.
