Lakers punch ticket to summer league final

The Los Angeles Lakers knocked out the Dallas Mavericks 108-98 in the Las Vegas Summer League semifinals on Sunday. Kyle Kuzma led the Lakers with 24 points and Dennis Smith Jr. tallied 21 points for the Mavs. Los Angeles will face the Portland Trail Blazers in the final on Monday at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Yogi Ferrell (20 points) and Nicolas Brussino (18 points) led the 5-0 Mavericks to a 91-74 win over the Celtics, who finish 4-1 in Las Vegas. No. 9 draftee Dennis Smith Jr. shot just 1-for-6 from the field with three points for Dallas, while No. 3 pick Jayson Tatum did not play for Boston.
