Bill O'Brien said he thinks Deshaun Watson is doing a good job handling the transition to NFL quarterback. "He's a very mature kid," O'Brien said. "Like I said last spring, he's wise beyond his years for a young guy. So, I think he's handling it well, from my perspective, to this point."

Jadeveon Clowney joking about DeAndre Hopkins' trash-talking: "You know that guy's all talk."

Best play: Any time Jadeveon Clowney is on the field, he's shown he can be disruptive. Today in a team drill, Clowney blew past an offensive lineman and got to the quarterback very quickly. The Texans aren't in pads today, but he's surely excited for tomorrow when he will be able to hit his teammates for the first time this summer.

J.J. Watt laughed when he was asked about his jab toward the Big Baller Brand shoes on Twitter a few weeks ago. "I was just promoting my shoe," Watt said. "I was just trying to sell some shoes. It worked."

Texans rookie running back D'Onta Foreman spoke for the first time since he was arrested and charged with marijuana possession and unlawful carrying of a weapon. "I definitely feel good about it," Foreman said. "My lawyer is great. He's doing everything possible to get everything dropped, and like I said, I'm innocent and I feel like – it's the truth, I am innocent – so we're looking forward to getting everything dropped and everything will take care of itself."

Play of the Texans' first training camp practice: During a 7-on-7 drill, Tom Savage threw a deep ball down the right sideline to Will Fuller. The ball was thrown into traffic, and Fuller made a leaping catch between the two defensive backs.

Texans general manager Rick Smith said he doesn't consider Duane Brown not reporting to training camp "a holdout" because Brown is still under contract for two more seasons. "There's no contract dispute," Smith said. "Duane's under contract for two more years. That's our position. We're here to get our football team ready for the season, and he should be a part of it. ... Here's an important member of our team, and he ought to be here."

J.J. Watt and the Texans arrive at The Greenbrier for training camp.

The Texans typically only negotiate with players when they have one year remaining on their deal, but LT Duane Brown is in a unique situation. He has two years left, but there is no guaranteed money remaining on his contract. Brown's biggest point of leverage is probably that the Texans don't have a clear left tackle or right tackle as they head into training camp at The Greenbrier in West Virginia.
