Jaguars pass on option for starting LT Beachum

The Jaguars did not pick up the four-year option in Kelvin Beachum's contract on Wednesday but will have until March 9 to negotiate with the left tackle before he becomes a free agent.

The Jaguars announce they have restructured quarterback Chad Henne's contract for the 2017 season. Terms of the deal were not disclosed but Henne was already under contract for 2017 and was scheduled to make $3 million.

Now that the Jaguars have signed DT Abry Jones, the next decision facing the team is whether to pick up the four-year option on OT Kelvin Beachum. The deadline is today. If the team declines they could still try to work out another deal with Beachum but they would risk losing their starting left tackle.
