FPI ranks best games of NFL Week 7: Redskins at Eagles

The Eagles have a 45 percent chance of entering the postseason as the No. 1 seed in the NFC, dwarfing the competition. Meanwhile, the Redskins' playoff hopes could very well hinge on this contest.

Some Eagles players, linked by group text, are awaiting an update from Malcolm Jenkins on the results of this afternoon's team/player meetings in New York. "I don't think it's necessarily [a meeting to broker] a deal, but if it was a deal, then who cares if it's about doing the right thing. Our owners have the power to impact a lot of lives," said WR Torrey Smith, "whether it's financially or just in terms of their guidance. I feel like it's our duty. Obviously we're playing ball but the fans that are cheering us on, the fans that are working in these neighborhoods are affected by some of the things that we're fighting for. If anyone thinks this is not an issue for us to be involved in as athletes, or the owners in the NFL, then you're looking at it dead wrong."
