FPI: Titans have major edge in Cleveland

By FPI's measure, this is the Browns' best remaining chance to win a game this season, narrowly ahead of a Week 15 visit from the Ravens. That said, the Titans have a better-than 3-2 advantage on Sunday.

Another real good, full practice day for Marcus Mariota (hammy). He's getting real close to his old self so expect a more mobile QB at CLE.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Mike Mularkey said they would call up practice squad RB Khalfani Muhammad if DeMarco Murray can't play Sunday.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hammy) did not practice for the second consecutive day. Titans HC Mike Mularkey said his status is similar to Week 3 leading up to the Seattle game where Murray missed a couple practices but ended up playing. Friday, we'll have a better idea of if he can go Sunday at CLE.

The NFL Referees Association released a statement calling out alleged bias in officiating saying it demonstrates "a fundamental lack of knowledge about NFL officiating." The Titans, and specifically LT Taylor Lewan, have mentioned feeling singled out by calls. Lewan said it appeared to be "biasism," and that the Titans were playing against two teams after the Dolphins game when an offensive PI call wiped out a Delanie Walker TD. Two plays later, MIA was awarded a strip-sack TD despite the Titans feeling like the play was whistled dead. Other teams have made complaints about officiating, most noticeably the Eagles after a large penalty disparity in their TNF win over the Panthers.

Marcus Mariota was a full participant in Wednesday's practice for the first time since injuring his hamstring. Good news for the Titans heading north for a game at Cleveland on Sunday.

Titans K Ryan Succop named AFC special teams player of the week after going 5-for-5 vs. Indy. Succop joins Rob Bironas as only Titans players to win ST player of the month and week in the same season. Succop has made a NFL-record 51 field goals under 50 yards.

Tennessee rebounded, but it remains in the bottom half of our list. That said, the Titans have a very friendly schedule moving forward.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Marcus Mariota didn't suffer any setbacks following MNF. Corey Davis and Johnathan Cyprien won't play vs. Browns with their hamstring injuries. Derrick Morgan is day-to-day with an abdominal strain. DeMarco Murray had a little hamstring tightness but he returned to the game.

FPI: Titans getting second wind?

Tennessee's win over Indianapolis on Monday night changed the sails on what were fading playoff chances in ESPN's FPI. The Titans' chance to win the AFC South took a chunk out of Jacksonville's once-firm grip on the division race.
