This is Alert 360’s Privacy Policy.  The Privacy Policy applies to our mobile platform “Alert 360 LIte” operated by Alert 360 (Alert360); and (ii) any combination of products and services we provide or which can be purchased or accessed via any User Interface (the “Services”).  It also describes your choices regarding the use and access of your personal information.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT? 

When you interact with Alert360, we collect information that can be used to uniquely contact, identify or locate you (“Personal Information”).

 

Information that is Automatically Collected

When you use our website, or apps or other user interfaces, Alert360 automatically collects and stores certain information from or about you from your computer or other electronic devices through which you access, browse, download or receive the Alert360 User Interfaces.  Information we automatically collect includes:

Alert360 and its partners use cookies or similar technologies to analyze trends, administer the website, track users’ movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.   You can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level, but if you choose to disable cookies, it may limit your use of certain features or functions on our website or service.

Security Device Data

When you utilize our Services, you may provide us with certain information, once your system is activated, or from direct interactions with your account.  We receive this information from security devices that are monitored or controlled by our services, and we may also receive and collect such information from third parties, such as your Security Professional. Mobile Device Data

When you utilize our mobile application, you may provide us access to specific categories of mobile device data in support of app functionality and operation.  Data types and purpose of use include:

App functionality – Location data is used ephemerally to configure the address and time settings of installed security equipment. This permits home automation functions to accurately compute sunrise, sundown and various time based actions.

Account management and App functionality – Personal info may be entered by the app user as they create additional users of their security system.  This information is used to authenticate those users as well as to identify their usage of the security equipment installed at the protected property

Your email address.

User IDs

Identifiers that relate to an identifiable person. For example, an account ID, account number, or account name.

Address

Your address, such as a mailing or home address.

Phone number

Your phone number.

Messages

Other in-app messages

In app chat messages associated with the messages service.

App functionality – Your security service provider may optionally enable an in-app messaging service which allows app users within your account to message one another as well as communicate with dispatch personnel during security events. 

Photos (images) and videos

Photos / Images

Your photos.

App functionality –  Image data is captured and collected when activating, provisioning, and configuring your security equipment

Microphone and audio

Other audio

Other audio files you created or provided.

App functionality – The microphone may be used to deliver two-way audio to camera security equipment installed at your home or business. This data is used ephemerally/not stored.

App activity

App interactions

Information about how you interact with the app. For example, the number of times you visit a page or sections you tap on.

Analytics – Used to improve app workflows and improve app usability.

App info and performance

Crash logs

Crash data from the app. For example, the number of times the app has crashed on the device or other information directly related to a crash.

Analytics – Used  to diagnose and fix bugs or app crashes.

Data protection and privacy laws in your state or country may impose certain responsibilities on you and your use of security cameras, connected doorbells and other devices with recording capabilities. You (not Alert360) are responsible for ensuring that you comply with any applicable laws. For example, you may need to display a notice that alerts visitors to your home or business that they may be recorded using security cameras and other devices with recording capabilities. Alert360 takes no responsibility for your compliance with these laws.

Alert360 may disclose your Personal Information:

In addition, we may anonymize or de-identify your information and convert it to a form that cannot be used to identify you (“Aggregated Data”).  We may utilize this information for a variety of purposes, including improvement of our products and services.  Alert360 will not share personally identifiable information about you without your consent.

We do not sell and will not give your Personal Information to any other entity for any marketing purposes.   We may use your Personal Information to communicate with you about our Services.

Information Protection

Alert360 follows reasonable physical, electronic and managerial procedures designed to safeguard and secure your data and Personal Information.   However, no company can fully eliminate security risks associated with data transmission services.   We use multiple layers of security to protect your Personal Information and data, including firewalls, intrusion detection tools and antivirus software.

Right to Access, Correct and Delete Personal Information

You may view, update, or delete your Personal Information at any time within the Alert360 application.  Changes to your user profile on the Alert360 User Interfaces may not automatically change the records of your Alert360. You should contact your Alert360 directly to make changes to its records.

Third Party Websites

From time to time, Alert360 may offer hyperlinks to third-party websites from our User Interfaces.   The third-party websites are not under Alert360’s control. Alert360 is not responsible for, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to, the privacy practices of any companies that Alert360 does not own or control.

Utilizing our User Interfaces from Outside of the United States

If you are utilizing our User Interfaces from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored or processed in the United States, By using our Services, you understand and consent to the transfer of your information to our facilities in the United States and sharing of your information with the third parties described in this Privacy Policy.

Your California Privacy Rights

California Civil Code Section 1798 gives California residents the right to request to see what Personal Information we maintain about you and to request that the Personal Information be deleted.   If you choose to delete your Personal Information, it may not be possible to continue to utilize our devices or Services.   To make such a request, please contact us using the information provided below.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Alert360 may change or modify this Policy at any time.  We encourage you to check this Privacy Policy often to review any changes.   If we make any change to this Privacy Policy, we will always update the “Last Updated” information at the top of this Privacy Policy.
