Each year, Minne Inno, a digital media company covering Twin Cities innovation, generates a bracket to help build excitement for and awareness of the local startups and tech ecosystem.
“We’re honored to be named the Tech Madness Challenge champions,” said Brian McLaughlin, CEO at Alula. “Alula’s engineering and innovation group got very excited about this challenge. It was a good way to bring the company together, while many of us remain working remotely. It really brought out the team-focused, collaborative culture that Alula is proud of building.”
Over the past three weeks, online readers voted for the most exciting, innovative Twin Cities-based companies in the competition modeled after the NCAA championships. With 31 other startups competing, the fifth and final round was between Alula and Structural, a SaaS company in the HR space.
The breadth of competition is a testament to the wealth of local talent in St. Paul, Minnesota, where Alula is headquartered.
“Alula continues to find top-notch engineering talent in the Twin Cities,” said McLaughlin. “We see a strong innovation ecosystem and are excited to continue to grow Alula here. We feel like we’re at the right place at the right time with the right technology to continue that growth.”
