  3. What is a “Chatty” zone?

Alula will mark a zone “Chatty” if it begins to send a signifcant number of singals in a small window of time. The status flag is added when the senor sends near constant state changes within a 10 minute period. When a sensor is marked Chatty the state changes will not be sent to the Alula platform until the status clears. This results in the mobile app not showing state changes and Sensor Notifcations would not get sent for that zone.

For the Device to clear the Chatty status an algorithm is applied that must see the zone decrease activity over a period of time. That time can change and is determined by how long its been sending near constant state changes. The Chatty status is only active if the security system is in a Ready to Arm state and will also be cleared if the arming level is changed.
