General Z-Wave Notes

• Z-Wave can experience limited range. 50 feet max with additional variables for rf interference.  If customer wants to place a device farther than this, or customer is having range issues, enroll additional devices or a Z-Wave repeater in between BAT-Connect or Connect+ and the furthest device to fill the gap.  Z-Wave messages will hop from device to device, each device that has wall power acts as a repeater in the mesh network.
• Every device has its own way to enroll into BAT-Connect or Connect+, so please refer the manufactures installation manual.  Some require a single button press, some require two, some require a key code sequence; they’re all different.
• Low batteries in door locks can cause a myriad of problems. Even if the battery level is reporting 70% life with Kwikset and it’s having problems, replace the batteries as an early troubleshooting step.
