Stay safe and connected with these New Life Safety Devices

Seamless setup with the Connect+

After a year of extreme weather events, the trend of staying put and riding out the storm is going by the wayside. With advances in technology, weather agencies are able to predict earlier and respond faster to events that disrupt and threaten personal safety and property. Last year thousands of Americans were forced to evacuate and leave their homes behind. This is an increasing number compared to the average number of evacuations in past years.

Stay Connected, even when leaving your home behind.

With breakthroughs in sensor technology and their practical application, smart home networks are now able to notify you immediately when there is an emergency. Whether you’re hunkered down or on the road headed away from danger, stay in touch with what matters with sensors designed specifically for your personal awareness.

Most of us are used to smoke sensors and their 9-volt batteries. So much has changed. With advancements in microelectronics and energy efficiency, your smoke alarms can communicate longer, check in with your smart security system more often and be even more reliable. These same advancements have opened the door to a whole new generation of sensors.

The “Not your Grandmas Smoke Sensor”: (RE614) This Smoke Sensor uses photoelectric smoke sensing technology, paired with a fixed heat limit, and a rate-of-rise limit. The alarm will signal when one or more of the signals are tripped: Smoke, Fixed Heat, or rate of rise.

  • Sensing smoke, heat and the rate-of-rise
  • Wireless communication with the Connect+

CO Detector:(RE615) CO or Carbon Monoxide poisoning, is still a problem today and being alert is a matter of life and death. Have your home prepared to alert you.

  • An alarm will sound when dangerous levels of CO have been detected
  • Strong, reliable RF signal for reliable communication

Our Flood & Temp Sensor (RE618) might not be able to calm the waves but it will notify you of water intrusion in your home.

  • Sensing flood conditions and extreme temperature changes
  • Set custom parameters to let you know when certain extreme temperatures are reached

The Glassbreak Sensor: (RE609) Branches and debris break windows too. Be alerted during a storm whether it’s your neighbors’ lawn chair or a burglar.

  • 4 – 6 years of battery life
  • Identifies the sound of breaking glass and transmits a signal to the Connect+ panel
  • Monitors a zone of 4 to 25 feet from a protected window

Life Safety isn’t just for homeowners

The Connect+ and this level of awareness are not just for 2000 square foot houses. Powered by Alula means technology that is developed by folks that genuinely care about your safety and protection. These life and property safety systems can be incorporated into small businesses or a whole apartment complex. If you are a smart home fan or just want to be updated in emergency situations these sensors are a solution.

Whether your enjoying life’s adventures or forced to leave your valuables behind, you can depend on the people behind the Alula brand to continue innovating in ways that keep you in touch with what matters most.

ISC West 2018 Wrapup

Just weeks before what arguably is the biggest security show of the year we proudly announced that ipDatatel and Resolution Products were now Alula. Not only was the Alula brand and story well received on the trade show floor but so was the introduction of our new CEO Brian McLaughlin. Mr. McLaughlin had the honor, along with the rest of the Alula team, to announce our new Alula mobile app , Alula Cloud Video and our new Connect+ complete home and small business security solution.

Trade show attendees were greeted by a clean, modern and open booth design with interactive hands-on kiosk featuring Alula’s complete solutions. A mix of product engineers, sales leaders and marketing team members manned the booth with the intention of connecting with current and future Alula dealers. During the show, we were excited to be selected by CEPro’s Julie Jacobson as one of the ‘Must See Booths” from ISC West 2018 .

Taking center stage at the Alula booth were four interactive kiosks that focused on introducing the simplicity of the Alula Connect+ platform. The “modular design” kiosk presented the system’s ease of expansion reducing initial cost. Dealers were also invited to view our advanced online portal that allows for full remote programming of the Connect+ system. Also displayed were the easy system enrollment and Alula’s new mobile app with powerful features such as home automation, scenes, and custom user management, and dealer branding.

As both our new and old friends found out this year at ISC West, Alula is more than a name that stands out in front of the crowd. Alula is the people behind the name, people that put the growth of your business first with a timeless philosophy of loyalty while also embracing the future.
